Our President, Susan Pretty, has an 11 year old daughter, Charlotte. When Carlotte was just 4 years old she was diagnosed with Cancer.
Susan spent countless hours sitting by Charlottes bed at the Royal Childrens Hospital. There are only so many magazines that you can read to fill in time so Susan started wandering around the hospital and eventually found comfort and friendship with the ladies in the auxiliaries office of the RCH.
Susan first got involved with 'Hush' which is a music therapy programme. This simply began with one of the doctors creating a classical CD to help with calming the children before they underwent their treatments for the day. They sold these CD's and raised much needed funds to pay for equipment for the RCH.
Eventually this encouraged Susan to do more and it was suggested by friends that they form an Auxiliary. And so the Auxiliary Charli's Angels was formed. Charli's Angels is now in it's 6th year and it is the only Auxiliary from the RCH on the Mornington Peninsula.
